Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” tour, featuring GloRilla, electrified New York City on Tuesday night (5/21) with a performance at Madison Square Garden. Marking Meg’s first full headlining tour, the three-act set was packed with twerking and special guest appearances. GloRilla joined Megan on stage to perform their collaborative hit “Wanna Be,” and the night reached a fever pitch when Cardi B made a surprise appearance to deliver their joint singles “Bongos” and “WAP.” Cardi also performed her verse from GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2,” with GloRilla rejoining her on stage.
Despite some sound issues noted by Billboard, the audience remained unfazed, reveling in the chance to witness two rap superstars celebrating each other. The publication highlighted the palpable chemistry between Megan and Cardi, stating, “The crowd didn’t care, as they enjoyed watching two rap superstars in their prime adore each other. The lovefest didn’t stop there. Once Cardi unleashed her classic verse from ‘Tomorrow 2,’ GloRilla returned on stage, creating a moment between all three female MCs.”
Additionally, GloRilla revealed that a new remix of “Wanna Be” featuring Cardi B is forthcoming. During her opening set, GloRilla also brought out A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie for a performance of his track “Jungle.”
